Cub Scouts Secret Show + Finders Keepers

Yesterday was a whirlwind. A group of lovely people and I spent the morning in the majestic Finder's Keepers markets, filled with bunting, balloons and handcrafted goodness. I was left in awe of the talent of designers and creators, and envious of those who could afford to indulge in such splendid items. (#unistudentlyfe)

After a wonderful time at the markets, we headed down to Bean, a tiny, rustic coffee shop down an alleyway in Brisbane's CBD, for our beloved Cub Scouts had announced an all ages, secret show. Many young fans crowded into Brew, some of the taller ones hitting their head on the ethereal light bulbs hanging from the ceiling. The show was as intimate as any could be- the Cub Scouts perching their instruments on milk crates, half a metre away from the crowd. The moment the opening bars of 'Hands' (my personal favourite) filled the room, the crowd was swept away into Tim Nelson's delightful world.

Yesterday reminded me of why the city life delights me- secret shows, vintage markets, the greatest of friends - what's not to love? To top off this splendid day, I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with some lovely people, and went home feeling entirely content with life.
