Radical.

Hello there! I'm back in blog land!
I've just spent the last weekend up at the beautiful Bunya Mountains, with a group of forty young adults. We ended up stranded up there longer because of the floods, which was such a blessing. God really does make all things work for his good. I know that I had been praying for Him to have all of the control in my life, and that prayer was truly answered- he literally had the control, over the weather, over when we could leave. We spent time in such beautiful community, encouraging each other, praying for each other, just loving. I think the biggest moment for me was the time spent worshipping in the upper room. One night, we were up there and the power suddenly went out. As we were plunged into darkness, we began to pray, all at once. Singing our own songs to the Lord, songs never sung before. It was beautiful, seeing an entire room of people earnestly crying out to our father, nothing else but him. Nothing was for show, there was nothing fake about it - an authentic worship, an authentic praise. We also got the opportunity to witness the baptism of not one, but two of our young adults! I've really been challenged to give it all to follow Christ, for he is worth it all, an amazing treasure. What an amazing weekend. God healed hearts, tore down walls, and it was beautiful.
This year, we're doing a radical challenge, going biblical with our lives. As a group , we're going to read the entire word, pray for the entire world, spend time overseas (Cambodia/Thailand here I come!), sacrifice our money for a worthy cause, and live life in a growing, discipling community. I'm really excited for this year. Oh man.

Four Walls Festival

On August 4th, some lovely friends and I made our way to the annual 4 Walls Festival, held at Queensland Academy for Creative Industries. Youth Industries put on the all ages event, and it was truly a remarkable lineup. Each stage had a starkly different vibe to it, creating a festival that was unique and beautiful to behold.
Favourite bands of the night- The Paper Kites, Avaberee, Cub Scouts, & Stu Larsen.

Nikita + Rex

On Saturday I did an engagement shoot for Nikita and Rex, a lovely couple who met while they were missionaries with YWAM. They're a beautiful couple with a heart for evangelism, and it was lovely to photograph them!

Mountains.

I headed up to a retreat on Mt. Tamborine this past week, a beautiful campsite in a meadow atop the mountain. It was unbelievably foggy up there, but truly stunning.

Cub Scouts Secret Show + Finders Keepers

Yesterday was a whirlwind. A group of lovely people and I spent the morning in the majestic Finder's Keepers markets, filled with bunting, balloons and handcrafted goodness. I was left in awe of the talent of designers and creators, and envious of those who could afford to indulge in such splendid items. (#unistudentlyfe)

Autumn Leaves

Some lovely friends and I made our way up to the beautiful (but cold!) Montville yesterday. While we were up there, we found some gorgeous trees and scenery, so I took some quick photos of Savannah before we completely froze to death.
Savannah is stunning, Montville is stunning. It was a lovely combo.

Fete de la Musique

It is hard to criticise Brisbane city after an event as breathtaking as Fete de la Musique. Their tagline reads, "Music, everywhere"- a sentiment that is not an exaggeration in the slightest. Brisbane was inundated with musicians, from every place and every style imaginable. There were gigs in the shopping centres, the train stations, even on the ferries and buses. I headed out to the festival with some music enthusiast friends of mine, for what turned out to be a crazy amazing day.
