Unfading Beauty

"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.  Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight."
-1 Peter 3:4

There is a lot to be said about what makes a woman beautiful. Eyes like gems,  hair that shines in the sunlight, skin without blemish, a slender frame, outrageous clothes, the most intriguing make-up. Each of us has a different opinion on what makes a woman.
So what is the truth? What really makes a woman beautiful?

Surely it is obvious, but just in case, it has been laid down for us in plain sight. Your inner self. The unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit.
Beauty truly comes from within. Without a seed, how can fruit possibly grow? Similarly, without a healthy core, a radiant spirit, then how can a woman ever be beautiful?

Need an example? Well here is Genevieve. She isn't dressed in the finest gown, does not have flawless skin, or the shiniest hair. Her unfading, immeasurable beauty comes from her wonderful spirit, which is truly of great worth in the sight of her first love.
